- python odrive module can be used from python2 again
- the automatic firmware version.h generation is now based on python instead of bash (which didn't work well on Windows)

store the programmer serial number with escape characters.

An STLink/v2 programmer is now identified by a string of the format "\x12\x34..." instead of "1234..." This navigates around differences of how makefiles are parsed in windows and linux

fix USB TX lockup issue
...
When the host reset the connection without reading the response packet first, the TX-empty semaphore would never get released, thereby blocking any further TX communication. This commit just overrides the TX buffer if the semaphore wait times out.
