My iconv (GLIBC 2.2) uses char** as the second

parameter. altough it is the in-buffer for the
    character conversion. I added some very ugly
    conversion to strconv to make it compile. While
    being at it, I also reformated the whole file,
    it looks less like Assembler or Perl now.
