utelle	d3734f2fd8	Fix wxUILocale when regional format differs from Windows language ... On Windows the default locale instantiated by wxUILocale::UseDefault() referenced the locale configured for regional formatting in the Windows settings. This could lead to unintended behaviour (like using the wrong layout direction), if the locale for the Windows display language was different from the locale for regional formatting. Fix this by using the correct locale, i.e. either the one corresponding to the display language or the one corresponding to the regional formatting, depending on the locale property in question. In wxMSW it's possible to insert more than max length characters programmatically, but this is not the case in the other ports and at least in wxGTK such behaviour simply can't be implemented because gtk_entry_set_max_length() imposes this limit on the text in the control, wherever it comes from. Vadim Zeitlin	5d28a30c50	Reimplement wxDC X/Y transformations in terms of wxPoint/wxSize ... Both DeviceToLogical{X,Y}() and DeviceToLogical() taking wxPoint were virtual, with the latter implemented in terms of the former by default, which meant that overriding only that function, but not the ones taking X/Y coordinates individually, could result in inconsistent behaviour, which is exactly what happened in wxMSW. Make it impossible for this to happen by only allowing to override the functions taking wxPoint (or wxSize for "relative" variant) and reimplementing the functions working with individual components in terms of the virtual functions. The same goes for LogicalToDevice() and "Rel" variants. As an important side effect, this fixes a bug in wxDC::StretchBlit() in wxMSW when using RTL layout as the code there used LogicalToDevice{X,Y} functions that didn't return the correct values before this commit. Update the tests to not test for the wrong behaviour of per-coordinate translation functions now that they behave correctly. Also remove the tests checking that per-coordinate translation doesn't work when the transformation matrix includes a rotational component. Update the documentation to emphasize that converting both coordinates at once is preferred. See #19344, #26266.	2026-04-04 20:58:14 +02:00

Filip Hejsek	e9ab0194c1	Fix wxStyledTextCtrl::Get/SetUseAntiAliasing() ... Get/SetUseAntiAliasing() was originally added as a wxWidgets-specific extension of Scintilla, using extraFontFlag to store the setting. When Scintilla upstream added its own implementation of the same feature in the form of the SCI_SETFONTQUALITY message, the same field was used, but with incompatible values. Combined with other changes that happend since then, the result is that now SetUseAntiAliasing(true) does the opposite of what it is supposed to do. See #26339 for a more detailed analysis of the history. Fix this by removing all remaining traces of the original implementation of SetUseAntiAliasing(), and instead translating SetUseAntiAliasing() calls into SetFontQuality(). Closes #26339. Make it possible to specify null for the first parameter if it is not needed too now. Still check that at least one parameter is not null, as it doesn't make sense to call the function otherwise. When available, acquire the name and release of the Linux distribution and return it as wxGetOsDescription()'s output, followed by the near equivalent of the traditional 'uname -srm' output. The uname output, something like "Linux 6.19.0-5-generic x86_64", is not the best description for a Linux system, since it leaves up to the reader to figure out what kind of a system this actually is. The output changes significantly from what it was earlier, but the output was never meant to be machine-readable, nor was it consistent across different operating systems. Behaviour of this function when the window was hidden was inconsistent: it didn't show the window in wxMSW but did in wxGTK (where doing this broke decoration size computation logic, see #25348) and partially did (meaning it was broken) in wxOSX. Fix this in the simplest possible way and don't show the window in all ports now, as it seems to be a safer change than starting to show it in all of them. Also document this behaviour. Vadim Zeitlin	66b13fcc30	Don't accumulate timer events when calling YieldFor() in wxMSW ... Repeated calls to this function could result in unbounded input queue growth because timer events were synthesized for each call to it, put back into the queue if not processed, and then another event would be synthesized again during the next call. Fix this by discarding timer events instead. This is not ideal when using one-off timers, but better than the alternative. Document this limitation of wxMSW. See #26204.
