Vadim Zeitlin 062dc5fc22 initialize wxStringBuffer with the original contents of wxString it was created from for better compatibility with the old, non-STL, build (this avoids problems such as ticket #4845); add wxString::tchar_buf() to help with the implementation

Václav Slavík 7978bc7293 remove implicit conversion to C strings from wxString if wxUSE_STL=1; this fixes problems with converting between wxString and std::string in some situations at the cost of having to use c_str() explicitly just as you have to when using std::string

Václav Slavík c9f7896861 first phase of transition to unified Unicode build: 
1. changed c_str() to return wxCStrData (implicitly convertible to wxChar*)
2. added template type-safe wrappers for vararg functions
3. added wxUniChar class representing single Unicode character
4. changed wxString::operator[] and wxString::iterator to return wxUniChar

Michael Wetherell b26ed94e4f The cyrillic characters used in the CaseChanges() test have different values 
on different platforms depending on the cyrillic character set used. So try
generating these from the Unicode instead of using fixed values.

Michael Wetherell 24c96d96bc wx_wcscmp is only used in unicode mode so wrap in #if wxUSE_UNICODE to avoid 
a warning about an unused function, and clean up the function at the same time.
