It is based on MiniGUI 1.6.2, and compiled on Red Hat Linux 9 with gcc 3.2.2 and glibc 2.3.2. You can develope MiniGUI programs by using this development package. Installation ============ On your Linux PC box, as the super user, run the following command: # rpm -ivh minigui-dev-1.6.2-1.i386.rpm This command will install the header files of MiniGUI to: /usr/include/minigui and install the library files of MiniGUI to: /usr/lib The library files will be installed are: libminigui-1.6.so.2.0.0 libminigui-1.6.so.2 (symbol link to libminigui-1.6.so.2.0.0) libminigui.so (symbol link to libminigui-1.6.so.2) libminigui.a libminigui.la libmgext-1.6.so.2.0.0 libmgext-1.6.so.2 (symbol link to libmgext-1.6.so.2.0.0) libmgext.so (symbol link to libmgext-1.6.so.2) libmgext.a libmgext.la libvcongui-1.6.so.2.0.0 libvcongui-1.6.so.2 (symbol link to libvcongui-1.6.so.2.0.0) libvcongui.so (symbol link to libvcongui-1.6.so.2) libvcongui.a libvcongui.la The run-time configuration file of MiniGUI (MiniGUI.cfg) will be installed to /usr/etc/. Because MiniGUI of this package configured to use incore resource, this file won't be used, just for your reference. Usage ===== MiniGUI uses incore resources. The default configuration is: GAL engine: qvfb IAL engine: qvfb Display Mode: 640x480-16bpp You can use shell environment varibles to overload the default configuration. If you want to run MiniGUI programs on Linux FrameBuffer console, you can specify the following environment varibles: $ export MG_GAL_ENGINE=fbcon $ export defaultmode=1024x768-16bpp $ export ial_engine=console $ export mdev=/dev/mouse ; specify the mouse device $ export mtype=IMPS2 ; specify the mouse protocol, using 'none' ; if mouse is not present. If you want to run MiniGUI programs on qvfb but with a different display mode, you can specify the following environment varibles: $ export MG_GAL_ENGINE=qvfb $ export defaultmode=320x240-16bpp $ export ial_engine=qvfb After installing the RPM package, you can compile and run MiniGUI programs. 1. Run helloword program of MiniGUI $ gcc -o helloworld helloworld.c -lminigui -lpthread -lpng -ljpeg $ ./helloworld If you want to run helloworld in qvfb, you can use the following command: $ gal_engine=qvfb defaultmode=320x240-16bpp ial_engine=qvfb ./helloworld If you want to run helloworld in Linux FrameBuffer console, you can use the following command: $ gal_engine=fbcon defaultmode=800x600-16bpp \ ial_engine=console mdev=/dev/psaux mtype=IMPS2 ./helloworld 2. Run mde of MiniGUI You should download mde-1.6.x.tar.gz from our web site: http://www.fmsoft.cn/download/index.shtml. Before running mde, you should extract the tarball and compile it: 1) Extract the tarball to a new directory by using `tar' command. 2) Run `./configure' and `make' to compile the mde. $ ./configure $ make 3) Try to run mde.
